Munster, Indiana

Eric and I recently spent a day in Munster, Indiana.  Munster is home to the Three Floyd's Brewing Company and we had a little time to kill before lunch and our brewery tour so we chilled out at the close-by Centennial Park.  This pretty park was built on a former landfill and is extremely environmentally-friendly.

Stillness

This past Saturday, I took a photography class at the Morton Arboretum.  One of the best takeaways I learned was how amazing a lake/river/pond can look in the early morning hours.  Look how still the water is; it make the reflection so clear.  So beautiful.  I might just need to become a morning person after all.

KEVIN!!

On the way home from the Schuldt sign, we decided to stop at the Home Alone house.  Yes, that is right, the house from the 1990 movie Home Alone.  It is located in Winnetka, Illinois.  In May, it was put up for sale... for only $2.4 million dollars!  It is beautiful and we were one of five different cars slowly creeping by this huge house.  Those poor neighbors... 20 years later and they still have tourists driving by.

Schuldt Drive

When December rolls around each year, it's time to start thinking about Christmas gifts for the family.  We had ideas for most of our family, but were having a tough time coming up with something for Eric's mom.  Eric had once done a google search to see if a "Schuldt Street" existed (fyi - Schuldt is our last name) and sure enough, a "Schuldt Drive" did indeed exist AND it was in Illinois!  So we had the idea to go to this Schuldt Drive and take a photo and frame it for his mom.  So one Sunday morning, we got up super early and drove 45 minutes to Lake Zurich, Illinois.  I took about 50 photos from all sorts of angles in hopes that we would find one we loved.  We printed the photo and got it framed just in time for Christmas.  We hope she liked it, pretty crazy that we were able to find this street.  Schuldt isn't the most common name in the world.  Now if we could only find Marcouiller Drive...
