Eric and I are loving the fall. Both our Hawkeyes and Irish are playing at Soldier Field... all of 5 blocks from our place. Love it! My parents came in for the Hawkeyes game in September and even though the game wasn't too pretty, the Hawks came through in the end. It was really cool to see Iowa take over Chicago for the weekend. Go Hawks!

Festive
These two shots are from a friend's baby shower from August. I had a lot of fun trying out some pinterest ideas...

Beautiful Iowa
Here is my take on our latest Iowa visit. Photos taken with my iPhone.
Gorgeous sunset on the drive back to Iowa -
Saturday morning run around the parent's neighborhood. Gorgeous reflection.
Finally made it to the Pappajohn Sculpture Park. This visit has been three years in the making.
Baby toes!
Snuggle time with Adalyn.
Equally beautiful drive home -

Carson Man
Carson is getting so old. It kind of breaks my heart. I think I am going to be the world's sappiest mother some day if I can't even handle my friend's children getting older.
Not the world's best photograph, but the baby drool is irresistible.
Adorable? I think so. I love his expression and I love that he is perfectly content playing with mom's bangle and a kitchen utensil.
Beautiful Adalyn Elizabeth
Last weekend, we got to meet this beautiful little lady, Adalyn Elizabeth. It was so good to meet her and just see Matt and Lynndi in their new roles as parents. I got to hold her for a couple hours and I'm pretty sure everything was right in the world. I can not express how much love I have for this family. Props to the hubby for the last two photos.

Flashback: Bumthun Maternity
I am working on organizing some photos on my computer and I came across some maternity photos that I took of my good friends, Ben & Bri Umthun, in June of 2011. Their little man, Carson arrived a month after these photos were taken! I can't believe he has already celebrated his first birthday. The older we get, the faster time blows by. Carson is so lucky to have these two as his parents, and I'm so lucky to have them as my friends (and good-looking photo models).
Isn't she beautiful?
