4th of July Fireworks

Here are my favorite shots from the 4th of July fireworks this year.  I think they might just be my best ones yet!  I kept my shutter open for a longer period of time (8-12 seconds) and this enabled me to catch a couple bursts.  Did you take any firework photos this year?  How did it go?  My top three firework photo tips would be to use a tripod, experiment with different shutter speeds, and turn your flash off!

Flashback: Bumthun Maternity

I am working on organizing some photos on my computer and I came across some maternity photos that I took of my good friends, Ben & Bri Umthun, in June of 2011.  Their little man, Carson arrived a month after these photos were taken!  I can't believe he has already celebrated his first birthday.  The older we get, the faster time blows by.  Carson is so lucky to have these two as his parents, and I'm so lucky to have them as my friends (and good-looking photo models).
