I recently had a work conference in San Diego, CA. Life is good, huh? Well, I was pretty much tied up with work the first 3-4 days, but one night I sneaked away for an awesome dinner with the hubby. We wanted to grab something in the Gaslamp District so as always, we consulted yelp.com. Mexican sounded great and La Puerta had 4 out of 5 stars. Done and done! After pretty much running through the rain to get there, we couldn't resist the guacamole. And I'm sure glad we didn't - by far, the best guacamole I have EVER had. Such a great restaurant, I will recommend this place to everyone going to San Diego from now on. They also have really fun lighting/atmosphere (and really good sangria!).
