1/8000ths of a second

Both of these shots are of a water fountain with a steady/constant stream of water (I will remember to take a "before" photo next time).  When you crank your shutter speed to as fast as it can go, you can literally freeze time and capture something that the naked eye can not see.  Pretty sweet, huh?  Check out that dial on your camera and get it out of automatic mode!  Play around with your shutter speed by choosing the "S" on nikons and the "Tv" on canons.
